Community members of our area, individuals as well as businesses, who wish to work on the:
Preservation and enhancement of the economic, social and environmental well being of Area L
What are we trying to achieve:
Every community member is welcome to join and contribute towards achieving our objectives which include:
- Encouraging broad recognition of the fundamental importance of a healthy local economy as the basis of almost all aspects of any community’s well being.
- Acting as a resource on community issues and views for all area politicians at all levels of government.
- Creating a united voice for individuals, groups, organizations and clubs in Area L, in promoting their interests with all levels of government and in seeking solutions to issues affecting them.
- Sourcing government funding for organizations and individuals to assist in solving existing environmental problems.
- Researching and encouraging alternative energy opportunities in the community.
How do we go about it:
- We will form working groups who assess and seek solutions to pressing communal problems as identified by our members.
- We will research and access government sponsored projects and initiatives that meet the needs of our community.
- We will lobby politicians at all levels of government regarding tax dollar use.
- We will work closely will local organizations to consolidate all efforts and maximize results by having a united front and a broadly based membership.
